We stayed home this year for Thanksgiving. Wyatt turned one month old, and we needed the rest. We usually travel to my hometown which is around 2 1/2 to 3 hours away. Since we will be venturing that way for Christmas, we decided to just relax over the Thanksgiving break. How cute are my two loves in the above photo!? This was taken before heading over to my sweet sister and brother-n-law's home.
Kennedy is thankful for her "blue baby!"
My baby girl is growing up so fast! Already oner 2 1/2! Gasp!
During this break we tackled "potty training!" I must say.... Kennedy is officially out of diapers {except for sleeping.} She has done so great! The only reason we have accidents is because she is too stubborn to stop playing to go to the potty, and she lies and says she doesn't need to go. HA! I went to Meijer and bought sooooo many junk toys out of the cheap bins. I filled a big Dora gift bag up and every time she went I would let her pick a toy out. You would think these dollar toys were the best things she's ever seen! My bribery worked! We have a potty trained Kennedy! YAY!
I'm so proud of my sweet girl! She continues to make me laugh, fills my heart with joy and surprises me every day! Thank you Lord for this sweet girl.
Can you believe my baby boy is one month old!? Eeeeeeeeee!
He is growing like a weed! Seriously... he sucked down FIVE ounces today. He will be eating us out of house and home before long!
He has started becoming more alert. He studies my face and will smile when I talk to him now. I love that! I think he had a great 1 month birthday and a happy 1st Turkey Day!
What I am thankful for most this Thanksgiving! TWO healthy babies!
A huge thank you to my sweet sister-n-law, Meagan, who cooked her first Thanksgiving meal and included us! I never would've have known this was her first big Turkey! She did a great job. Her food was delicious. Thank you Steve and Meagan for having us! We love you all so much.
Check out Meagan's cooking blog!
This is Steve and Meagan's baby, Greta! We were happy to celebrate with her as well!
It was wonderful to be able to get up, enjoy the parade, and go eat! After we ate we all went on a walk through Steve and Meagan's neighborhood. I wanted to try out my new double stroller, and Greta didn't mind a walk! The weather was beautiful! Meagan took the above photo of our family of four! {Check out Wyatt's mohawk!}
After we left Steve and Meagan's, we headed to see sweet Ava and her family! They were hanging out and preparing for the day AFTER Thanksgiving!
Here's why.....
Ava became a BIG sister on black Friday! Look at what a beautiful baby Ty is! Mommy and baby are doing great!
We truly had so much to thank God for this Thanksgiving and EVERY day following! Counting our blessings for sure!
